Kimberly's Angel Team

Dearest friends and family,

In May of this year, Kimberly's best friend Rolanda Lang complained of  a stomach ache, Rolanda was a healthy woman in her 50's and thought little of it. 
After a very short battle, Rolanda died of Ovarian cancer on July 11th, 2020. Kimberly was with her friend through it all and was by her side when she passed on. 


This was heartbreaking and devastating to Kimberly and while organizing her memorial Kimberly had a panic attack. She was extremely anxious and while trying to calm herself down rubbing her hand on her chest, she felt a lump in her breast. 


Within a week, she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and unfortunately, it is triple negative which is the most aggressive type and grows very quickly, especially among African American women. The good news is that it was caught very early on so the chances of winning this battle are high.


We are putting together this GoFundMe because as you can imagine, the cost of the treatments Kimberly will need will also be very high and our dear friend needs our help.


The timing couldn't be worse, if there's ever a good timing to be diagnosed with cancer. Kimberly just opened a private practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist a year ago, after putting herself through college and graduate school and taking out more than $150,000.00 in student loans. Working full time and raising 3 beautiful triplets that are now seniors in high school and getting them ready for college, has been top priority.  The medical expenses alone will be at least $200.000.00 with her insurance covering about 80% of it and this does not include alternative treatments that is helping her through this fight. As if this weren't enough, Kimberly's sweet husband Michael, was laid off because of Covid 19 back in March.


Now Kimberly has had to cut her client load in half because of the chemotherapy treatments that leave her feeling ill and extremely tired and it will very likely go lower as she gets ready for her upcoming surgery. 
She (and her beautiful family) needs our help. There is a lot going on for so many of us and times are tough on so many different levels but If you're in a position to lend a hand please consider a donation on her behalf. Any amount helps.


If you know Kimberly then you know what an incredible loving, giving, spiritual and generous person she is! And you also know what a hard time she has receiving and asking for help, she is so used to being the one that gives. 


Our friend needs us now, she needs our support and our love. <3


We are confident that the universe will come to her aid and help her win this battle. We are holding steady a vision of perfect health returning and of moving through this difficult time with Grace and Ease.
