Kimberley Dahme, the internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter and former first female member of BOSTON was recently diagnosed with Breast Implant Associated- Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (BIA-ALCL). This form of cancer is an extremely rare and emerging form of cancer with only 1034 confirmed cases and 59 deaths worldwide. She is beginning the rough journey of surgery and possibly chemotherapy treatment to fight this cancer.

As a full-time self-employed musician, health insurance, medical costs, and lost wages are always a fear. We want to help her with some of this burden and give her some peace of mind, so she can focus on healing.

Please donate what you can. A $25 donation funds an office visit co-pay or a couple of meals. $100 donation covers the cost of a hotel stay during a treatment or a utility bill. A $500 donation helps cover something like a surgical co-insurance. A $1,000 donation helps cover part of lost income while in recovery. Just an example, the cost of the PET scan alone was $9,000. Reconstruction surgery won’t be covered by insurance at all which will start around $9,500.

Anything donated will go directly toward these types of costs or lost income. No donation is too small, and every dollar helps and will be greatly appreciated.
