Hello Everyone, As we saw earlier this week our beautiful friend Kimberlee (Vanderhoof) Jones has become a Cancer Warrior. She has been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and started chemotherapy this week. This amazing women has been there for so many in her life and now it is our turn to be there for her and her beautiful daughter Jay. Kimberlee has given so much to Alaska through her years of legal advocacy where she provided support for victims of domestic violence in the court system, years of prevention work in Alaska's urban and rural areas to build resilience in our community, and her tireless work to start the Statewide Careline to respond to individuals contemplating suicide or just needing someone to talk to. Her work in Alaska built a solid foundation that many of us continue using today. She has gone on to share her knowledge and passion with other states and is currently in Oregon where she continues to work to support communities to be stronger. Lets help her get through this by providing funds so she can "breath" in case she needs to take time off of work or has medical expenses she cannot cover.
