Dear friends and family, 

On the 5th of June 2022, Kimar Street was taken from us by a senseless act. The perpetrator has not been found, and the family is left trying to put all the pieces together. His passing was not something that could have been predicted, it has come to us as a shock, and we are saddened and devasted by his passing. 

Kimar Street was 34 years young. He was a lively, gentle, quiet, and bright young man who loved all types of music. Kimar didn't have it easy. He was a Jamaican native who relocated to the states in 2007 in hopes of creating a better life. At 15, Kimar had to undergo open-heart surgery and took blood thinners every day to prevent complications. 

Kimar was very responsible. He didn't drink or partake in any substances. When we heard the news of his death, it shook us to the core. He didn't deserve to be shot in the head while sitting in his car. Nobody deserves to die in such a tragic way! 

His family and those around him loved Kimar, and we will all miss him very much. As Kimar’s death was not something anyone in the family was prepared for, with heavy hearts, we ask for your support in making his funeral and memorial service possible in a way that honours him. Kimar’s dream was to travel back home, we would love to make that a reality and send his body back home to Jamaica for his final resting place. Any donation helps.
