The "Breath of Kimari" Campaign

Donation protected
It is hard for any parent to fathom the thought of burying their own child.  However, after Monday, September 21, 2015, James and Kim Reed are now being faced with carrying this devastating burden.  As many of you know, our beautiful Kimari Reed, age 16, suffered a severe Asthma attack shortly after arriving home from school.  In as much as her family and friends-who were there, the first responders and the hospital staff all tried their best to keep Kimari here with us, God had other plans.

The outpouring of love through various forms of expression has been nothing short of amazing!  We are truly grateful to each of you for your kind gestures and offers of support.  The question has been asked repeatedly if there was a way by which one could make a monetary donation.  So, in an effort to help offset expenses that will undoubtedly be accrued due to this tragic, unexpected, and unimaginable loss we have erected such a fund.

This GoFundMe account will help the Reed family alleviate any financial burdens they may incur and to help them recover together while supporting their other children.   As you can imagine, there will be lots of time off from work and unexpected expenses as they grieve and prepare.   Any donation made to this account will be gratefully appreciated and used for the purposes of handling the funeral expenses.  Should there be any monies accrued outside of said expenses, it will be used in a manner that will honor the legacy and memory of Kimari Reed.  Please know that all donations are welcomed, be it large or small.  What a blessing to have family and friends (and even strangers) willing to help the family grieve without the worries of financial stress.  We thank you in advance for your monetary acts of kindness.

Above all, we ask that you continue to bombard Heaven with prayers for the Reed family.  As you go about your day, please continue to send warm thoughts their way.

In closing, we would be remiss if we did not share that in as much as we grieve the loss of our precious Kimari; we also recognize the sovereignty of God.  Although it is too early to see exactly what God is up to, we know with confidence that He is up to something.  As a family of strong faith, we will patiently await to see the full manifestation of what God is about to do in all of our lives.

Again, we thank you, we love you and we can assure you through our trust and faith in God that Kimari’s life was never in vain.  Her life will yield an unimaginable harvest!

Rest in Paradise our precious flower!
