Kimama Cafe opening of Brick-and-Mortar!

Hi!

We are two sisters who started Kimama Cafe, a plant-based Japanese food pop-up in Los Angeles, CA., amid Covid-19 back in 2020.

We started off sharing local pick-up & delivery to friends and family, and in 2021 we began serving at local farmers markets within Orange County and LA.

We currently operate at three local farmers markets in LA and have come across an amazing opportunity to open a store-front in Mar Vista/Culver City. We will keep you all updated with opening information, cafe updates through this platform as well as through our website & blog via Kimama Cafe

Our mission at Kimama Cafe is to serve wholesome meals from local, sustainable, and environmentally conscious sources. We infuse macrobiotic concepts of our Japanese roots with the Californian health-conscious diet - our food prepared with love and is organic and as local as possible. Our menu highlights our commitment to reducing food waste and supporting small-scale local producers.

We truly believe that food is a fantastic common denominator through which to reach people and gather ourselves behind a common goal.

As Vandana Shiva says, “the Revolution starts on our plates!” - with the decisions we make on what and how we eat (impacts on the environment, conscious consumption, the importance of choosing local, organic, and seasonal- for our Mother Earth, our health & our wellbeing♪

We have had a few opportunities in the past, however, nothing as close to this one!

We need the help of family and friends near and far to actualize our dream. We believe that community extends beyond our local surroundings; the support from afar means just as much to us and we hope to give back to even those far away - in spirit, idea, empowerment, connection, and love.

 

Through sharing loving meals and offerings, we simply wish to be a living reflection of reminders to our whole Earth family of the oneness of us all♪

We hope to serve as a vessel of love, helping to raise the vibration of this planet and all beings - continuously learning, living and evolving toward a more conscious and sustainable world.
