Kim vs. Cancer: Spoiler Alert — She Wins!

Donation protected
My sweet friend Kim — mom, wife, designer, and all-around sunshine spreader — has been hit with an aggressive breast cancer diagnosis. She’s facing months of chemo, surgery, and radiation, and while she’s busy fighting for her life, we’re fighting for her. Kim has given comfort and beauty to so many through her work and friendship — now it’s our turn to return the favor. Every dollar helps this incredible woman focus on healing, not hospital bills. Let’s show Kim she’s not in this fight alone.

Help Kim Kick Cancer’s Butt (and Still Look Fabulous Doing It!)

If you’ve ever met Kim, you know she’s the kind of person who fills a room with an energy before you even get a chance to sit down. She’s funny, creative, determined, and has the biggest heart — and now she needs ours.
Kim was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. The kind that doesn’t play fair, doesn’t wait, and doesn’t care that she has two beautiful girls (Chasey and Brooklyn), a husband (Bill), a home full of pets, and a business she built with her own two hands.

But here’s what cancer didn’t know: Kim is a fighter. And she’s not doing this alone.

How I Met Kim (and Why You’ll Love Her, Too)

Back in 2019, Kim and I both rolled into Summerville, SC within weeks of each other — two Midwestern gals with big dreams, small businesses, and apparently the same appointment time to see a rental space. The owner, probably sensing fate at work, decided to show us the building together.
Afterward, we crossed the street for iced tea, and that was it — instant friendship. We discovered we both loved margaritas, moved way too many boxes for each other over the years, spent holidays side by side, and basically became chosen family.
When I moved back to Wisconsin, our friendship didn’t miss a beat. We still talk constantly and visit as often as we can. Kim is my people — and I’d do anything for her.

Why We’re Asking for Help

Now it’s Kim’s turn to be on the receiving end of comfort, care, and support — something she’s always been the first to offer others.
Over the next several months, Kim will face six months of chemotherapy, followed by surgery and radiation. She’s self-employed, which means no paid time off, no safety net, and no easy way to keep her business running while she focuses on surviving and healing.
Bill, her husband, will need to step away from his own work to be by her side through treatments and appointments. The bills — medical, household, and everything in between — are already starting to pile up.
This is where we come in.

How You Can Help

If you’ve ever gotten that dreaded callback after a mammogram…
If you’ve ever walked this hard road, or watched someone you love walk it…
If you’ve ever wondered why life sometimes feels so unfair…

Here’s your chance to make a difference.

Your donation — no matter the size — will help Kim focus on healing, not hospital bills. It’ll help her find comfort in her home, in her skin, and in this new (temporary!) chapter of her life.
Let’s help her fight this battle surrounded by the same love and strength she’s always given to everyone else.
Please give what you can, share her story, and most importantly — send up every prayer you can muster.
Because if anyone’s going to kick cancer’s butt (and still make it look stylish), it’s Kim.
