Hi,

Kim's house burnt to the ground along with her car and trailer.

Thankfully Kim was not home, so she and 3 of her dogs ( mom and two pups) have survived, with one 5 month old pup still missing.

Since the fire, as her community and friends, we have been helping getting power restored, and getting Kim the essentials for life.

Kim is up against some financial challenges to deal with the expense of the cleanup and re-establishing services.

The garage is still standing however the siding facing the fire has melted. There is a small apartment above the garage which will need to be renovated to make her a temporary home.

Her van and trailer that she used for hauling animal feed, needs to be replaced.

No one should have to live through this kind of loss.

I believe the best we can do in the short term is help now with funds to set her on her feet with the basics of, a comfortable home, vehicle and trailer to tend to her animals, as a good start.

A huge thank you to everyone who has responded with gift cards, cash, food, small appliances, clothing, bottles water, fuel for generators, the loan of generators, beds for the dogs, plus their food and toys, etc.

For now it looks like she has enough clothing and blankets. She has been given a bed, table and chairs, which are now in use. Thank you!

The loan of a vehicle as needed and the help, to pick up furniture and food for the animals, has been so appreciated!

The septic system has been assessed and can be repaired with new walls and a lid.
