Kim Sullivan's Crew
Update- Kim was care flighted to Oschner New Orleans. We are not yet sure of the issues going on, but we know that God is faithful to provide for their family during this time.
Update: Since December, Kim and her family have continued to recover from her initial LVAD surgery and numerous setbacks. In early July, Kim was finally sent home for outpatient physical therapy, but last week was re-admitted to Ochsner. She had surgery on Sunday, July 22 and it was discovered that her chest was full of what doctors believe is infection. Once again, our Tough Cookie has a long road ahead. We will know more details and the planned treatment in the coming days. Kim and her family still need our support. Together, we’ve raised more the $5,000 on Go Fund Me alone. This has provided for hotel expenses, medical equipment at home and items she’s needed throughout her extensive hospital stay. On behalf of our entire family, we cannot thank you enough.
Kim Sullivan is in a fight for her life at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Kim has suffered with heart failure after a virus affected her heart 6 years ago. She went in to have an LVAD placed in her heart in order for her to be placed on the transplant list. She suffered complications from the surgery and has a long road of recovery ahead of her. Her family, rooted in Baton Rouge, needs to be near her. This includes gas money for travels, food while there, and hotel expense. Fortunately, Ochsner has a hotel attached to the hospital where the family is able to stay to be with Kim. While the hotel offers reasonable prices, it is still a major expense for the family. Please consider giving toward this expense so the family can be with Kim to help in her recovery.
