KIM SHARP

Tauxemont has been an integral part of our family life for nearly two decades with Will, Maggie and Edy all attending “Our Little School in the Woods;” and then with Kim as a teacher, leading her beloved 4-day 4s class and co-teaching other classes.

As some of you may know, Kim’s leadership and commitment were recently recognized by the Board of Directors, and she was selected to serve as the school’s new Director. Entrusted to lead the school into the future, Kim was passionate about preserving and enhancing the traditions of Tauxemont, and especially its focus on play-based and nature-based early childhood education, which has been the cornerstone of Tauxemont’s philosophy for more than 80 years.

Tauxemont has, and always will, hold a special place in our hearts, and it is where Kim thrived and found her true calling. In Kim’s honor, we are establishing this fund to enhance the outdoor learning environment at Tauxemont Cooperative Preschool.

The Sharp family will work with the Tauxemont teachers and Board to ensure these funds are used to further Kim’s vision for the school for future generations of students and families.
