Kim Share Her Story & Break the Silence on Domestic Abuse

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Laurie Oakes, and I’m starting this fundraiser for Kim Gillespie.

Kim and I met in March 2023 when she booked a reading with me, seeking guidance on her life and hoping to connect with her mother. As I shared messages with Kim, I quickly realized the depth of trauma she had endured. The loss of her mother wasn’t just heartbreaking—it was tragic.

Kim’s mother was killed at the hands of her (Kim’s) father, shortly after she made the brave decision to leave an abusive relationship. If you’d like to read more about this devastating event, you can find the story here:

In the years since, Kim has become a fierce advocate for domestic violence survivors, fighting to raise awareness and create change. After an exhausting legal battle, she has finally “won” against her estranged father and is now ready to tell HER side of the story.

Her book, Find the Pearl in Your Pain, is a powerful testament to resilience, showing how she is transforming her suffering into purpose. But there’s one major obstacle: the $10,000 CAD required to print and market her book.

Despite being behind bars, Kim’s father, George Fraser, was able to access his pension funds to hire people who created slanderous websites about her, keeping her tied up in costly legal battles for years. These ongoing financial burdens have made it challenging for her to fund this project on her own.

This is where we can help. By supporting this fundraiser, you’re not just helping Kim publish a book—you’re helping her reclaim her voice, empower other survivors, and bring awareness to the ongoing injustices faced by those affected by domestic violence.

Every dollar counts. Let’s help Kim share her story with the world.
