Kim Porter Funeral Expenses

Hey everyone! I appreciate you taking the time to view this fundraiser and I hope that your heart is lead to helping out my sweet friend Sammy Porter. Sammy is as good of a guy is they get -these days. That hasn’t always been his story, but through tragedy, perseverance, determination and support from those that care about him, Sammy has managed to stay sober for nearly 3 years now. That journey began, sadly, after he lost his son, Quinn Porter, to suicide. Quinn took his own life in October of 2018. Sammy and his wife Kim could barely withstand the grief and heartache that I can imagine comes only with losing your only child. They clung tightly to each other through this horrific time and were able to pull themselves up out of the grips of addiction. I couldn’t be more proud of them and honored to know their story. Sadly, Kim recently went to the hospital where she was diagnosed with COVID and double pneumonia. While she was in the hospital she had a major stroke, followed by multiple mini strokes. Unfortunately, Kim passed on August 27, 2021 with Sammy by her side. As you can imagine the intensity of already losing a son and now his wife, Sammy has continued to stay sober and put one foot in front of the other. I couldn’t be more proud. In spite of his braveness to deal with these tragedies, he still needs some help and support. I am asking that you donate to this cause to cover the funeral expenses and some of Sammy’s monthly bills while he takes some time to grieve and heal - to help lighten his load.
