Katie B here, raising money for my BFF, my bestie, my best friend… Kim, well Kimmie to me, but Kim to most.

On Sunday morning (10/22) Kim had been suffering from a crippling headache for over 24 hours and when she went to the ER and got an MRI, they discovered a large malignant tumor on the left side of her brain that wasn’t there in August when they did an MRI after she fainted and hit her head. She was flown down to UCSF on Sunday night to have the tumor removed.

She is now in the care of one of the top brain surgeons in the country. Surgery will hopefully happen by the end of the week, but not until they do more tests and create some baselines of her functions and speech.

Erik is with her, staying with family when not at the hospital. He is staying strong, but this is a scary time with unknown outcomes.

Bills will come and we want to help alleviate the stress that will bring. This is a difficult situation by itself, but with some help, we can take away some of the pressure.
