WE NEED HELP. KIM'S KIDNEYS ARE FAILING. SHE NEEDS A KIDNEY.
Donation protected
UPDATE – October 25, 2024
Kim has had her first surgery. Had an umbilical hernia removed and the tube inserted through her stomach for Peritoneal dialysis. This dialysis allows you to do dialysis at home. During the night while you sleep.
This allows Kim to still work while she waits for a kidney. Sounds great, but is horribly overwhelming. And scary.
She has all her equipment and has almost finished her "training" and will start dialysis every night going forward.

We are praying so hard for a kidney. Please pray with us.

It has happened...
My daughter, Kim, has finally gotten to the stage in kidney disease that she needs a transplant. Which means she needs help. Prayer. Lots of both. And mostly a kidney!
When Kim was 38 we found out she has Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) which is a genetic disease. It is fluid filled cysts that grow on the outside of the kidney eventually smothering the kidney function. This disease is not curable. You just get to wait for your kidneys to start failing which is where Kim is now.
Kim's kidney function has fallen low enough that she needs to start dialysis while she waits for a kidney transplant. Which means that she starts with surgery to get the tube in her stomach and get a hernia removed at the same time. This means doctors appointments, doctors bills and time away from work.
Kim is self-employed. Single. An amazing hair stylist. Works really hard. Really hard. She doesn't get paid when she doesn't work. This could be devastating.
Kim is like me, she DOES NOT LIKE TO ASK FOR HELP. So I am doing it for her.
We would appreciate anything you can do to help her through this financial burden. I am so worried about her stress and worry. She will be doing dialysis every night and then working the next day. She needs to not have the extra burden of not being able to pay her bills.
If you know Kim, you know me through her. You know I would give her a kidney in a second, but I am too old. They won't let me.
Her daughter Sophi can't. She had breast cancer and is just 2 years out from her treatment.
Her son Luke can't. He has the same kidney disease.
We need help. She needs help.
She needs a kidney.
Please pray for her and our family. Pray that she gets a kidney soon. Pray that she gets through this period of time. Physically, emotionally and financial.
