Kim McWilliams

The Glen Rock PBA, in conjunction with the Glen Rock Police Department, is proud to once again be participating in “No Shave November.” This is an annual fundraising and awareness effort during which participants from around the world, including many law enforcement agencies, have put down their razors to join the fight against cancer. This year’s mission is dedicated to raising funds to benefit a cherished Glen Rock borough employee, Kim McWilliams, who has been battling cancer.

In 1990, Kim was involved in a terrible car accident where she had 75% of her pancreas removed. Since then, she has been taking pancreatic enzymes to aid in digestion, as well as treating her type one diabetes.

In May of 2022, Kim was unfortunately diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The tumor is located on the head of the remaining 25% of her pancreas. She began chemotherapy treatment in July of 2022 and will remain in treatment tentatively through March of 2023. During, and following the chemotherapy treatment, she will undergo continued testing, evaluations, and further interventions to battle pancreatic cancer.

Kim has worked for municipal court systems since 2009 and has been with Glen Rock Municipal Court since 2012 until recently, when Glen Rock, Wyckoff, and Ridgewood entered into a shared service agreement where she has continued to excel. She is a key part of our court system and we are beyond grateful for her work and dedication that she has devoted to our community throughout the years.

The members of the Glen Rock Police Department have had the opportunity to truly get to know the kind-hearted person that Kim is, and we are asking for your donations to aid in her battle.

The Glen Rock PBA will be supplying a limited amount of No Shave November shirts in short and long sleeve to show our appreciation for the first 200 donations of $50 or more. Shirts are now ready for pickup at the Glen Rock Police Department. Please stop in at your earliest convenience to pick up your shirt!
