On Friday, July  7, 2017 Kim Hoppe's life changed. She was driving to the store in the van she purchased and retrofit for her disabled son, Paul. She was hit by a young driver who was traveling upwards of 90 miles per hour.  In the aftermath, Kim has had two surgeries, severe pain, and her only mode of transportation is now totaled. 

A new van that is barrier-free and handicap accessible (retrofit) costs approximately $40,000. Because of her injuries, Kim and Paul are both wheelchair bound. Funds are needed by September 15th in anticipation that she will be able to drive.
