Hi Friends, Let me first say thank you to all of you for your support of my childhood friend, Kim (Grant) Rouse. Those of you who know me, well, know that I am too proud to ask for help for myself, but will rather find a way to get by. Unfortunately, I am feeling the need to help and can only visualize doing so by reaching out to others and asking them to join me in helping our friend, Kim. Kim is brain cancer survivor but developed a rare condition while battling the brain cancer. She was poisoned by the Gadolinium used in her MRI scans. It is used as a contrast medium to improve the clarity of your body’s structures on the scan. Because her body cannot rid itself of the Gandolinium it has stayed in her blood stream causing severe burning like pins and needles skin reactions, brain fog, migraine headaches, vision changes and neurological disorders. This pain and these symptoms have become unbearable. Kim is unable to work and spends most days in bed in pain. She has just seen a new doctor who has given her some hope of pain relief. He has a treatment that will, not cure, but rather make Kim’s day to day life more comfortable. As you can imagine-her medical costs are compounded due to the fact that she has had cancer and been ill with this Gandolinium poisoning since 2014. She and her husband are both out of work adding to their stress and mounting bills. The money raised through this GoFund Me will be used to give her enough coverage to receive the shots she needs to live comfortably for 5 years. I know and realize that times are tough for most all of us right now due to the pandemic but ask that if you can afford anything to help our friend it will be most appreciated!
