Kim was in Indiana visiting family for the holiday. On Monday, December 26, 2022 Kim collapsed in her nieces bathroom where she was having trouble breathing. She was transported to the hospital by ambulance. At the hospital, she went into cardiac arrest due to a pulmonary embolism where her heart completely stopped. She had a blood clot in her lungs that was later removed. She was transferred to the University of Chicago due to the fact that the right side of her heart wasn’t functioning. She was placed on an Ecmo machine to help pump and cleanse the blood to her heart. After several tests being done, a CT scan showed that she has swelling on the brain. She was placed on 100% oxygen and has not woken up since the event happened on Monday. Her kidneys stopped working so she was placed on a dialysis machine. On Wednesday, we were informed that her organs were starting to fail and would most likely not make it through the night.

As her family, we are asking for any donations to help with any medical bills, or any funeral costs that may occur in the future.
