Rest In Peace sweet Kim 3/11/2017
We have all prayed for Kim to be healed...Kim was healed on Saturday 3/11, but it's not the way "we" wanted, God needed a sweet angel in heaven and he picked the most perfect one! There was no one else as sweet and kind as Kim! Kim was a precious soul and she was such a blessing to be around!! She will be MISSED so much by so many people!! I know Kim is now rejoicing with Jesus and is no longer having to fight the pain of earthly trials!!
My heart breaks for Kim's family and friends, I know life for them will not be the same...a piece of their heart is gone from this earth! However it is only temporary, they will get to see Kim again one sweet day!!! Please continue to pray for mama Karen Carnes, Ty Carnes, Lilly Carnes and the rest of her family in the days ahead, as they are going to need comfort and understanding that can only come from God!

This is the story of my good friend Kim Carnes. Kim is the daughter of Karen McCall Carnes.
On Wednesday morning February 22, Kim got up and started the morning as she always does and was headed on to her way to work at Cowee Baptist Church. Around 8:00 that morning is when Kim’s day changed in the blink of an eye. Kim was involved in a head-on collision by a driver that crossed the center line and collided into Kim. Kim was transported to Memorial Mission in serious condition. Kim is in ICU and has been on life support since the accident, she is suffering from a broken leg, in which she has already had to undergo surgery on 2/24. She also has several broken ribs, extensive bruising, and a dislocated shoulder. On Saturday 2/25, the doctors explained another main concern was her lungs, because she has acute respiratory distress syndrome. On Tuesday morning 2/28 Kim developed a fever and had to receive blood because her hemoglobin level had dropped. Within a few hours her other blood work came back elevated and the doctors had to start her on antibiotics for pneumonia. On Saturday 3/4 the most recent complication that has developed is a blood clot in her left arm. Kim is facing more surgeries in the next coming weeks, and has a long painful road of recovery ahead of her. Kim has a wonderful family and lots of friends who have been there to support her through this hard time.
