JUST HEARD FROM KIM'S BROTHER-
Update on Kim:
Kim has developed sepsis. She had surgery Friday that found the cause was leakage from her new liver which will be corrected by another surgery Monday to install a stint which should alleviate the issue. Once the surgery has taken place, Kim will be required to stay around Vanderbilt for another month adding to her 3 month hospital stay – prayers and any donations to her gofundme site are greatly appreciated.
***** Update on Kim’s liver transplant: Kim’s liver transplant went well and a week later both her liver and kidneys are functioning on their own. Kim is still on a feeding tube and getting excellent medical care from her team at Vanderbilt. Kim has now been in the hospital for 2 months – Pat has spent almost all of this time with her at a loss to their income. After she is released from the hospital, she will have to spend a month in Nashville away from home while recovering – if you can make any financial contribution your support would be greatly appreciated. We also would like to thank you for your prayers – we do not believe she would still be with us today without your prayers. Please keep praying as she has a long journey in her recovery.

“I need your help. About 3 years ago, I was diagnosed with liver disease. Each day since has been a blessing. In April, Pat found me on our bedroom floor in a coma; it’s surprising how fast things can change. I have been in the hospital for about 6 weeks now and my medical team here at Vanderbilt is working diligently to schedule a liver transplant for me. After I receive a transplant, we will incur numerous costs that insurance will not cover - housing to stay in Nashville for weeks, food, uninsured medical bills and reoccurring daily living expenses. There is not a set time when all this will happen, we may be here for a long time. Please pray for me , Pat and our two children. Any financial assistance and prayers are greatly appreciated! “
