On August 19, 2020 the CZU Lightning Fire in Santa Cruz, CA overtook the house of Kim Beck and destroyed everything except the carload of mementos and limited personal items that she gathered when she evacuated the day prior. Thankfully, Kim and her family (both human and canine) are unharmed, safe, and in relatively good spirits. Kim was able to relocate her horse to a ranch about an hour away and they have been staying in a hotel since being evacuated and will remain there until longer term housing may be secured.

Given the total loss of the home and its contents, there is a wide range of items that Kim needs - both immediate and future, including:
-Hotel living expenses
-Clothing
-Personal care items
-Dog care expenses
-Riding gear
-Furnishings once they are able to leave the hotel
