Kim and Cedric Strickland's Medical Fund

Hi, my name is Candace and I am Kim and Cedric Strickland's daughter. If you know anything about my parents, you know that they are the strongest, most loving people.

They raised both me and my sister in love and spirituality and have remained strong pillars in our life.

Unfortunately, things have been declining for both of them healthwise. My father has been on dialysis three days a week for some time now and some months ago, my mother was diagnosed with early onset dementia. As you can imagine, this absolutely rocked our family to the core. And, if one dementia diagnosis wasn't enough, my father was also recently diagnosed with vascular dementia.

Both of these diagnoses do not have a good prognosis but we are doing our best to stay strong and positive.

Currently, both my parents are living with my sister in Santa Clara, CA. She is doing her best to caretake for both of them but the task isn't easy as both she and her husband work full-time jobs.

I am doing the best I can to help but it's a difficult task as I am located on the east coast right now.

My sister is going to need all the help she can get caring for them around the clock. We have hired two nurses who are a fantastic help to my sister and both my parents.

These nurses are expensive and until my sister can tap into the insurance funds for this, she is currently paying for it out of pocket.

In the meantime, I decided to set this up for her.

If you ever knew my parents, you know that they always did all they could to help others. My mother taught me everything I know and my Dad was my very best friend for most of my life.

They deserve the best care and we are just doing our best to get that for them.

I understand times are hard and if you can't donate, I understand but if you could share this, it would mean the absolute world to us!
