Kilt Walk Dundee 24 miles for NHS Brain Injury Unit

Donation protected

Hello everyone,

We’re Phil and Becca, and we’re taking part in the Kiltwalk Dundee, covering a combined 24 miles by doing the Mighty Stride and the Wee Wander — all to raise funds for Ward 5, the Brain Injury and Stroke Unit at Royal Victoria Hospital in Dundee.

This cause is deeply personal to us.

Background (Becca):
In 2016, I sustained an Acquired Brain Injury. After my care at Ninewells, I spent nearly six months in the hands of the incredible team at Royal Victoria. The therapies, support, and compassion I received there played a life-changing role in my recovery.

(Phil):
Although we met after Becca's recovery, hearing her journey and witnessing the strength it took — along with the dedication of those who helped her — has been deeply inspiring to me.

We’re walking to honour the amazing staff who care for individuals and families facing brain injuries and strokes — with expertise, empathy, and unwavering commitment. This is our way of saying thank you and ensuring the unit has the resources to keep making a meaningful and life-changing difference.

If you’re able to donate, no amount is too small. Every penny goes directly to supporting Ward 5, the Brain Injury and Stroke Unit at Royal Victoria Hospital, Dundee.

Thank you so much for your support — LET’S DO THIS!

— Becca & Phil
