Kilowatt Dance Theater (a registered 501(c)3 non profit) has been working hard over the past year to create space and resources for NYC dance artists. Your tax deductible donation could be a great help in 2026!

We have maintained a dance studio space in midtown and have been able to offer affordable rentals to choreographers and dance teachers in need. In 2025 alone, we welcomed in over 17 new artists and have supplied special low fee artist residencies for 5 different choreographers and 2 musical productions This year we want to do even more!

In 2026 we would like to broaden our support of dance in NYC by opening our doors to more creators, encouraging more dance education for the public, and offering generous price deductions to artists in need.

In addition, we aspire to produce more dance concerts and performances for the public. In 2025 we presented at several NYC dance and music venues, as well as performing at the Gold Coast Dance Festival in Glen Cove, the Dance City Festival in NYC, and the Amelia Island Dance Festival in Florida. This coming year, we hope to continue our travels but also produce our own dance concert here in New York. As you know, all of this comes with substantial costs.

ABOUT THE COMPANY Kilowatt Dance Theater is a jazz dance company based in New York City. Since its inception in 2014, they have created works that specialize in the early roots of jazz dance such as swing and lindy hop. These early styles of jazz are uniquely woven in with more contemporary dance techniques of today. The blend of movement along with the powerfully expressive themes they generate, creates a truly original experience for the audience. The electric energy and intensity of the dancers has been described in Broadway World as "masterful partnering with 'aw shucks' ease". Over the past few years, Kilowatt Dance Theater has performed for such notable programs as Jacob's Pillow's Inside Out Series, Battery Dance Festival, Amelia Island Dance Festival, The Gold Coast Dance Festival, Dance City Festival, The Rochester Fringe Festival, and The JCE Jazz Dance Project (by Jazz Choreography Enterprises).
