Hi everyone, thank you for visiting the Kilos For Karl GoFundMe page. My name is Luke Graham; if you have been following me on Instagram for the past couple years or have ever seen me on campus at SUNY Cortland, then you probably saw me with my best friend Karl. Karl and I have basically been attached at the hip for the past 2 and a half years. He’s one of the most selfless people I have ever met, and you would say the same thing if you ever got the chance to meet him. Karl would take a bullet for anyone but wouldn’t accept anyone taking one for him; always the first person to help and the last one to ask for it. I could always count on Karl whenever I needed someone.
On September 7th, Karl was riding his motorcycle and was hit by a landscaping truck. He suffered some severe injuries including a broken femur, broken elbow, broken jaw and pallat, several missing teeth, fractured vertebra in his neck and lower back, as well as broken orbitals and frontal bone. As you can imgaine, his recovery process is going to be extensive. He spent the last month in the hospital undergoing surgeries and in physical therapy clinics to begin his rehab. Karl was discharged from the PT clinic on October 7th and is finally able to recover at home.
To give Karl and his family a helping hand with the funds required to aid in his recovery, I started this fundraiser called Kilos For Karl. Like I said, he is the last person to ask for help but it’s very important that we all come together to support him; as the great Luke Combs once said, every little bit helps!
