The Ida Price Charter School Percussion Program is raising money to purchase new percussion equipment, in particular a new marimba, a new vibraphone and new sound system. The new equipment will be used year round for the music program including beginning band, concert band, syphonic band, mens & womens choir as well as with the winter percussion concert program. School budgets are difficult at best to keep great music programs in the curriculam - to have the funding available to purchase new equipment is almost unheard of. That's why we are reaching out to you - music lovers, current and former musicians, parents, alums and friends of the arts. With your help we can make a difference in the lives of the young musicians in this amazing music program. The experiences that these young people learn is, as they say "priceless". In particular, being in a percussion ensemble develops tremendous life skill sets including: teamwork, strong work ethic, self esteem and confedence. The new equipment will allow the entire music program students the opportunity to further develop their musical skills and performance persona. We invite all donors to come see a performance so you can see the new equipment in action ! If you have any questions about our programs please contact JW
