Kiln to Complete Northern Pottery Studio

Hello Friends,

 

I’ve made this Go Fund Me to ask for support in setting up my pottery studio here in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories. This past year, I started an arts collective with some local artist friends. We have a weaver, a painter, a printer, a multimedia artist and myself, a potter, all working together out of a shared studio home. I have gathered everything I need to be making and selling my pottery again, except for a kiln, which has proved too expensive and challenging to get up here to the far north without extra support.

 

So, with all of my half-finished clay projects and the intention to make a lot more, I am asking for support to get a kiln for my studio to be fully functioning.

 

In exchange for your support, I will send you a thank you gift. 

 

• For donations less than $60, I will send you a thoughtful thank you card.

 

• For donations between $60-$100, I will send you an appreciation cup.

 

• For donations above $100, you will receive a gratitude mug with a handle.

 

This kiln will be located in an artist collective and will also be used and loved by many people who are new to pottery. The goal of our artist collective is to start as a shared space for studio renters and then to open up to the community through arts nights, workshops, pottery lessons, potlucks, film screenings, and so much more!

 

We are dreaming big.
