Camp needs your help!
We made the heartbreaking decision not to open this past summer. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic we knew we could not safely welcome campers. We are now trying to figure out how to make up for lost income and are seeking donations to enable Killooleet to safely re-open in 2021.
Like other seasonal businesses, Killooleet has been hit hard. By not opening this summer, we lost the majority of our income for 2020. Yet we still have to pay for normal, year-round expenses: the horses need food and care; the buildings, tennis courts, dam, road, bridges, and the land itself need constant upkeep; Keith and his team must be paid; and insurance, taxes, and utilities are all still due.
As of late-November, we've raised just over $100,000. It's our goal to raise a total of $650,000 before June of 2021, and we've set an interim goal of raising $250,000 by the end of this year.
A generous donor has offered to double match up to $20,000 during the Annual Killooleet Sing. That means that for every $1 we raise, we will get $2 more! Please join us in achieving this goal!
