Hello all! こんにちは!

I am moving to Minoo-Shi, Osaka, Japan on July 31st! I will be an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in the JET Programme teaching elementary or middle school for at least the next year (up to 5!). I am beyond thrilled for this opportunity to learn about a new culture and teach in a new place but I could use a little help getting started. I've been saving money and tutoring this summer to prepare, but 
I am taking a significant pay cut and will be moving into an unfurnished apartment. I will need to pay rent, my student loans, and general living costs, etc. I would appreciate having a cushion so I can concentrate on learning the language, developing interactive lessons, and integrating into my community without having to stress over finances.
