On July 28, 2017, Heidi Heitkemper was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Heidi is a vibrant 15-year-old who is beginning her sophomore year at Jesuit High School. She is wise beyond her years and has one of the most compassionate hearts you have ever come across. She loves playing softball, spending time with her amazing friends, watching Saturday Night Live, and glamping at the Oregon Country Fair.
While we know she is going to beat cancer and live a long and happy life, the next year will be rough, physically and emotionally. Heidi's frequent chemotherapy and hospital visits, combined with lots of at-home care, means lost employment for her family. The best way for her to get through this is for her family, especially her mom, to be there every step of the way. Combine all of this with unpredictable medical costs and unexpected expenses, it will be a constant stress and struggle for her family.
We are asking our family, friends, and all of the great people within our communities to help fill in the gap with a small donation to help their family pay the bills and ensure Heidi has the support she needs to get through this and go back to being young, enjoying high school and worrying about what to wear at the next dance.
