Our Daughters Play Football. We Apparently Run 50km.

7 football parents, 50km of Northumberland coastline, what could possibly go wrong?

On 26 September, seven parents of the Killingworth U14 Girls Reds will take on the Pilgrim 50km Ultra Marathon, running from Holy Island to Craster.

To be honest, none of us are ultramarathon runners. This challenge is far beyond our comfort zones. But every week, our daughters show up, work hard, support one another and give everything for their team. Now it's our turn to show some of the same grit and determination.

The girls are entering their seventh season together, and the impact of being part of this team has been incredible. Through football, they have built lasting friendships, confidence, resilience and a real sense of belonging.

While subscriptions cover coaching, facilities and league costs, fundraising is vital for the extras, including kit, equipment and tournament opportunities. As costs continue to rise, every donation helps provide the resources and opportunities that allow the girls to keep developing, competing and enjoying the game they love. ❤️
