I am making this crowd funding on behalf of my long term partner, Killian.

He has been originally on the Sandyford gender clinic referral list for 7 years before getting his first appointment in June 2024.

During that seven year wait, stress and depression mounted up, causing us to take the private route to obtain his hormones to start his medical transition.

This was a cost that we were comfortable with saving aside for, with appointments being roughly £300 per time, and his testosterone being £55 per bottle.

Killian has been on hormones now since December 2023, and doing extremely well on them. His voice has lowered, with physical changes that he has been wanting to occur.

All we were waiting on was the sandyford appointment, which came in June 2024 with their psych team.

This was when he was ticked off as being suitable to be taken on by the Sandyford medical team, once they receive his file over.

This was back in June 2024, with a promise of "only a few weeks" for his notes to handed to the medical team. At the start of this year, we called up to check on the progress of the transfer to the medical team (which are inside the sandyford).

This was when we were told it was now an additional 36 month on top of what Killian had already waited.

And now, as of last month, the reception team have stated to killian that they no longer have time scales to have his notes passed over, and he should just "be more patient".

We are getting to the stage of now seeking private top surgery for Killian, to enable him to feel comfortable within his skin, and enable him to assist his mental and physical health far more.

We dont expect to have the entire cost of the surgery, travel, and recovery costs helped with, hence the mid point funding goal.

The costs raised would be going towards the cost of the surgery itself, travel, accommodations, as well as recovery tools needed such as compression binders and dressings.

But genuinely, any assistance will be wonderful, and helps us towards our goal to get Killians top surgery achieved before we continue trying in our fertility journey.
