Hey! It's your pal, colleague, acquaintance or that dude who's stories you blocked on instagram, Elliot. And it's almost my birthday! Seeing that I'm turning 34 - it seems like I'm finally old enough to direct my first film (since college).

This year, instead of some group dinner or lavish gift (see: roller skates), I'm raising funds to bring my short film Killer Set to life. Inspired by my last two years performing stand up comedy at the Kibitz Room on Fairfax — a legendary LA dive bar (Axel Rose famously threw up there!) —this film draws from my own experiences navigating the highs and lows of the comedy world.

The story follows a first-time comic (me!) who, after befriending a charismatic, but troubled stand-up-veteran (Eric Kolvek), is pulled into the darker side of the fringe comedy scene. It's a personal project that captures both the excitement and dread of stand up comedy in the city I love, Los Angeles.

I'm writing, producing, starring in, and directing Killer Set, with talented co-stars Eric Kolvek, Gabe UHR, Kellfire, Michelle Haines, Howard Berger (he wrote for Rodney Dangerfield) and the singular, Mike Muratore. Our production team includes Jawhara Tariq, Colin Witherspoon, and Tim O'Dea, all of whom are passionate about telling authentic stories from the comedy world. We're raising funds specifically for production costs, including location fees, cinematography, crew, and props. Every contribution will go directly toward making this film a reality.
