Killer Queen - Independent Feature Film

Killer Queen is a coming-of-age horror film and the first feature-length film from Ranch House Productions.

Synopsis: In 1985, the town’s beloved pageant star Shirley Williamson was brutally murdered by her long-time competitor Dorothy Jean. Ten years later, the granddaughters of these pageant queens are assigned a school project in which they must research a piece of local history, which happens to be this murder. As the group conducts their research, they find that their connection to the urban legend is much more personal and deadly than they may have thought. Through chilling intensity and quippy humor, Killer Queen explores female friendship, complicated family history, and breaking away from societal expectations.

About Ranch House Productions: Ranch House Productions began in 2020 when founder Cassidy Brown began making short film projects for her online acting classes. Through the creation of these projects, Cassidy began to find her love for film, and Ranch House Productions was born. Ranch House Productions is an independent and female-led production company. They are dedicated to telling stories of women. RHP also strives to put women and at the forefront of the production process. RHP is currently in post-production for their first short film Crystalline, which will premiere in April 2022.
