Hi! My name is Camryn Maddox Mitchell. This past week my world got turned upside down. So far, no more school or being around friends and I haven't even been home to see my Christmas tree. Last Wednesday my family and I found out that I have been diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. I have been happy that so far my mom has not had to leave my side. Last year my dad passed away from Liver cancer and so now my mom has had a lot to deal with on her own. She has had support from family and friends that I know I love both her and I, but after this past week mom realizes she is going to need help! Our life has drastically changed. Currently I am at Duke Children's hospital. We have been here since 12/13/16. I have started chemotherapy and have been undergoing other In patient treatments this whole week. So far everything is looking good. Physically I am feeling great, which I know makes mom happy:) My GoFundMe has been set up to help with In/Out patient travel as well as other expenses, the medications I will have to be on, and also the time my mom will have to spend out of work to take care of me.
