My name is Rustin Zam-Zam, and I’m raising funds to bring my short film Kill Kylie to life. This project is inspired by my own journey as a trans person, and the heartbreak I experienced after coming out. Kill Kylie is a campy horror film about a trans couple who find themselves haunted by an obsessive co-worker: a story rooted in real events, but told with humor and corazón.
I wanted to create a film that’s both entertaining and meaningful, blending the fun and scares of genre cinema with thoughtful social commentary. Kill Kylie stars transgender characters and draws inspiration from Farsi language horror films that are as funny as they are frightening. My goal is to defy the usual tropes and stereotypes about trans people, and instead tell a story where, despite heartbreak and manipulation, we discover that we are enough on our own.
The funds raised will go directly toward production costs, including hiring a talented cinematographer and sound mixer, securing locations, production design, special effects, equipment rental, and more. Every contribution helps bring this vision to life and supports authentic representation in film. Thank you for considering a donation and for helping me share this story with the world.
