Kilimanjaro Climb for The Shanta Foundation
On 20th June 2024, I will be embarking on an incredible journey to summit Kilimanjaro, not just for the personal achievement, but as a heartfelt effort to make a meaningful impact. I am thrilled to announce that this climb is dedicated to supporting The Shanta Foundation, an organization committed to providing health, shelter and education through both self-funded and jointly-funded projects in the UK, India and Kenya. As I prepare to face the challenges of Kilimanjaro's towering peaks, I am reaching out to you for support in raising funds for this worthy cause.
Nestled in the heart of Tanzania, Kilimanjaro stands as the tallest freestanding mountain on Earth, with its majestic Uhuru Peak soaring 19,340 feet above sea level. A dormant stratovolcano, Kilimanjaro boasts three distinct cones: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira. The mountain is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its diverse ecosystems ranging from lush rain forests to alpine meadows and glacial landscapes. As I embark on this charitable climb, I recognize the significance of the mission to support The Shanta Foundation. Your generosity will not only propel me towards the summit but also contribute to the betterment of lives in under served communities, aligning the spirit of Kilimanjaro's grandeur with the noble cause of positive change.
