Kiko fights Leukemia pt2
Donation protected
Hey everyone,
We’re in the unfortunate position to be back in the hospital after Kiko’s cancer relapsed, just a mere 14 months since her initial diagnosis of AML. This time around, we will be doing more chemo to get her back into remission and then will be giving Kiko a bone marrow transplant, which will be a first for us. The recovery process is long, she could be immunocompromised for up to 18 months and we will effectively be in "house arrest" that entire time.
I want to be clear that we have insurance to help with the lion’s share of bills, but there will be quite a bit more costs this time given length of recovery time and a need for off-campus housing.
This will help us with medical costs, food, various items we need for our “new home” in the hospital, and lastly and the most costly, off-campus housing for when we are UCSF (Mission Bay) which will be around $200-$250 a night, we will be there for longer than a month. Thank you and love you all.
