Hey everyone!
Sunday night I was biking home and took a nasty spill after hitting a pothole. I went head first onto pavement hitting the right side of my face resulting in a fracture/displacement of my condylar process of the mandible, 5 stitches on my chin, multiple lacerations to my forehead, lips and left eye and 4 very chipped teeth which have unfortunately resulted in my dentin being exposed.
Luckily the ER Doctors and Oral said I should make a full recovery of the jaw bone healing but can’t rule out whether I will need surgery to put the bone back into place.
Right now, I am on a liquid diet for about 6 weeks, as well as antibiotics for my face lacerations. If I don’t need surgery. My jaw should mostly heal in about 4-6 weeks and be fully back to normal around 2-4 months. I am not allowed to do any physical activity until cleared after healing is complete.
I also have to get my teeth fixed but have to wait until I can fully open my jaw. Which blows due to how painful it is do drink anything with exposed dentin.
Right now, I am unable to work (bartending) until my jaw is healed and I am medically cleared. I can barely speak or open my jaw.
I am asking for any assistance possible to help with my medical fees, food, and cover the lack of income from not being able to work until I have made a full recovery.
I am grateful to be here and that this isn’t worse than it is, even though I am in awful pain. It definitely would’ve been much worse if I wasn’t wearing a helmet, it saved my life.
Thank you for the help or any assistance you can give me. I greatly appreciate it. ❤️
Love you all,
Keeks
