Our dear young friend, Chiara (aka Kiki), was very recently diagnosed with Leukemia. Kiki and both our daughter’s, Lilli and Abi, have been best friends essentially since they were born; she and her family, are chosen family to us. Kiki is a tough cookie, and the oncologist is optimistic about her prognosis, but the road to the remission we are praying for is long, with many medical expenses and lost time at work for her parents.
