Hi everyone,

As some of you know, I am a professional musician here in Philadelphia. I love music more than anything, it is my passion, my livelihood. I teach children and adults, and perform at venues all around the city for the people of Philly. I write and compose music for a very large portion of what I do - for my students, for my gigs, for every thought, idea or piece of music I need to write down, and I use a program downloaded on my computer in order to do so.

Recently, due to a change of housing, and the reckless care of the guests (none invited by me) who were residing in my house at that specific day, my laptop was broken badly when someone took my backpack and threw it. This laptop contains all of my music, all of my ideas - everything I've ever created musically on paper. Everything I have. Unfortunately, I have no way of holding anyone financially responsible, and I have nowhere near the amount needed to fix it - which is $500.

I hate to ask for charity - it really pains me to do so - I am a prideful person and do not ever want to ask others for help. But, my life's work is on this computer. Being a musician is not a very lucrative career, and it has been a long, hard struggle to make ends meet while continuing to push myself to keep going in this field. I believe that music is healing, I think it is the most beautiful art in the world, and it is my art, my skill as a person. It would break my heart to lose all my work forever.
