Kieran Tierney’s Accident Support Fund
On Friday 10th July my brothers partner Chloe informed us she had witnessed my brother get T-boned by a large white truck which ran a red light at over 80kms. With no Skid marks or any other attempts to slow down, my brothers Ute was then pushed into a light pole, squashing him in the wreck of his vehicle for nearly an hour.
Once the amazing first response teams had finally cut Kieran from the wreckage, he was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance.
He suffered a large list of physical injuries including, broken pelvis, severe ankle and head lacerations along with lacerations all over his body due to the glass, 5 broken ribs, 15cm hole in his diaphragm, liver and bowel laceration and a bruised heart. Along side the mental impact a car accident like that has on a person.
With Kieran being out of work for a minimum of 2 months and his partner Chloe having to care for him once they return home, this will put a lot of pressure on them as Chloe is only eligible for less than $200 a fortnight from centre links carers package.
They are aware of insurances they are entitled to through being involved in a motor vehicle accident, but unfortunately these can take months to come through.
Any help you can give Kieran and Chloe will be greatly appreciated and would mean the world to our families. The emotional support they have already received has been over whelming for them both.
