Hi my name is jakki and with permission from the family I am starting up a gofundme page for my friend senga and her youngest son Kieran.

Kieran already fought his battle with a rare aggressive form of medullablastoma in 2018. He had 5 tumours in his brain and spinal fluid. His operation to remove the largest tumour left him with posterior fossa syndrome which left him unable to walk, talk or swallow. Kieran became known as Kilwinning’s wee warrior as he fought with courage and bravery facing all the challenges he came across including an operation to straighten his leg and a shunt fitted due to a build up of fluid.

In March this year after being able to transfer from places fine and take some steps using walking aids, Kieran’s ability to do this stopped. He seemed to have no control over where his legs or feet went. A few months later he was seen at the beatson and investigations started to find out the cause. It was on the 7th November after a couple of MRI investigations the families world came crashing down. Kieran now 20 had a reoccurrence of his cancer which is also very rare this late on as if it is going to come back it is usually within 2-3 years and for Kieran this is 7 years. He has a 6cm tumour in his spinal cord and it is not possible to operate. He has had 2 weeks of radiotherapy in the hope of shrinking the tumour and will get another MRI to see with the results on January 21st.

The family are hoping for a miracle. Kieran was told in November he has less than a year. Kieran wants to go to Disneyland Paris with his family as well as meals out and some nights out clubbing. The family are looking at alternative methods of treatment as well as clinical trials in the hope of keeping him here longer. This page will help take any financial burden off the family and help Kieran do what he wants with the time he has left.

Just a wee update for everyone who has been so kind

Senga and Kieran would like to thank everyone who has donated so far and they wanted to give you all an update. The family have booked Disneyland Paris for February and are looking forward to making some amazing memories there. Kieran has a MRI on 5th January followed by an appointment at the beatson on the 21st January to see how his radiotherapy has done. Keep your positive thoughts towards us and we will let you know how it goes. We hope to make lots more memories together and thanks to everyone who is donating this is helping us so much
