KiekR ist eine kostenlose App für MeshCore. Nachrichten senden, dein Mesh auf der Karte sehen und verwalten — kein Abo, kein Konto, keine Werbung.
Daten werden nur erhoben, wenn du dich aktiv dafür entscheidest, etwas zur Abdeckungskarte hochzuladen — niemals heimlich, niemals ohne deine ausdrückliche Zustimmung. Nichts verlässt dein Gerät, ohne dass du es willst.
Zuerst das Wichtigste: KiekR bleibt kostenlos — egal was passiert. Diese Spendenaktion ändert daran nichts. Ich kann die Kosten selbst tragen, und ich werde es tun. Wenn hier 0 € zusammenkommen, läuft die App genau so weiter.
Warum dann überhaupt eine Spendenaktion? Nur, weil einige Leute nach einer Möglichkeit gefragt haben, etwas beizutragen. Diese Seite ist für sie da — für niemanden sonst.
Falls es dich interessiert, das sind die Kosten:
Serverkosten — die Verzeichnis- und Abdeckungskarten-Dienste (api.kiekr.app, map.kiekr.app) laufen auf kostenpflichtiger Infrastruktur, monatlich abgerechnet.
Entwicklungskosten — Entwicklerkonten, Signaturzertifikate und die LoRa-Testhardware, die nötig ist, um jede Version auf der real genutzten Hardware zu prüfen.
Du bekommst nichts dafür — keine Premium-Stufe, keine Vorteile, kein Abzeichen. Spende nur, wenn du es wirklich möchtest, und nur, wenn es dich nichts kostet, das du selbst brauchst.
Und das hier hilft am meisten — viel mehr als Geld:
Eine positive Bewertung der App.
Anderen davon erzählen.
Feedback und Fehlermeldungen.

KiekR is a free app for MeshCore. Message, map, and manage your mesh — no subscription, no account, no ads.
Data is only ever collected if you choose to upload to the coverage map — never silently, never without your explicit consent. Nothing leaves your device unless you ask it to.
First, the important part: KiekR will stay free no matter what. This fundraiser changes nothing about that. I can carry the costs myself, and I will. If this raises 0 €, the app keeps going exactly the same.
So why a fundraiser at all? Only because some people have asked for a way to chip in. This page exists for them — nobody else.
If you're curious, the costs are:
Server costs — the directory and coverage-map services (api.kiekr.app, map.kiekr.app) run on paid infrastructure, billed monthly.
Development costs — developer accounts, signing certificates, and the LoRa test hardware needed to verify every release on the radios people actually use.
You get nothing in return — no premium tier, no perks, no badge. Contribute only if you genuinely want to, and only if it costs you nothing you need.
And here's what actually helps most — far more than money:
A positive review of the app.
Telling other people about it.
Feedback and bug reports.
