Kidzplace Child Development Center is a place where children learn, grow and devolop through play! It is one of the only Quality Rated center's in Garden City.
Dr. Perry (the owner and operator), returned from the manadorty evacuation of Hurricaine Mathew to find what was once a fun, creative, safe learning enviroment for all children, emersed in water! The entire property was flooded; damaging the children's learning centers, floors, furniture, playground....every toy, doll, truck, book, blanket, sleeping cot and outdoor toys have been destroyed. Sandboxes must be refilled and fencing replaced.
Over 27 years in childcare, "I have never experienced such a tragedy" stated Dr. Perry.
As the leading providers in our community- children are anticipating on returning to school and parents and staff are in need of returning to work. So we, the governing body of Kidzplaze have the immediated charge to respond- FAST!
The center has been detrimented by Hurricaine Mathew and we must rebuild. The sooner we can restore the facility, the faster we can meet the needs of our children, parents and staff. Total damages are estimated to be over $20,000 (including labor). With your most generous contribution we can use the funds to purchase the supplies necessary to replinish what was lost and to accomodate our volunteers (within reason) as they help us prepare to serve our families again.
