KidWind National Challenge

Donation protected
We are four 8th grade girls at King Middle School in Portland, Maine. We recently attended the Maine state KidWind challenge, which is a competition that involves hand-building a wind turbine that can power at least 5 volts of electricity without a resistor. We entered as two teams, “The Recreational Hazard”, and “Where’s Allie.” Our performances granted us the opportunity to attend the National KidWind challenge in Chicago IL. No team from Maine has ever attended the National challenge, and we are looking to put Maine on the map by hopefully bringing our renewable energy turbine to the national judges. We are reaching out to you because we are currently looking for sponsors to help support our fundraising goal of 3,000 dollars. Other teams around the country have funding from their school district, but that is definitely out of the question for Portland Public Schools. Please donate and help us represent Maine in Chicago!
