Kids with cancer society

Hi it's Brianna and Josie. We've come together to help fill this hole in our hearts. For years we've been wanting to go through with this idea. Our goal is to raise $6,500 for the Kids with Cancer Society. Cancer is a major disease that attacks anyone's bodies at any age. It's crazy to think that this is something that affects so many people in our world. About two years ago, one of my good friends, Shaun, passed away from leukemia. He was going though an ongoing battle for about 4 years. He was an amazing, strong person who knew how to make anyone smile. Two years ago my little cousin, Nav, also was diagnosed with leukemia. He's been so strong through this journey, and is always ready to fight the battle. Both of them are associated with the Kids with Cancer Society, and I want to do what I can to help put this money towards helping those familes, who have to go through this painful experience. Once Josie and I raise the money, we (and Halie Shaun's sister) will be shaving our heads. To those who donate, I will keep in contact with so you can be with us when we shave it! A little money goes a long way, trust me.

For those who are unaware about the Society, it's a non-profit organization, based in Edmonton Alberta, which has family centered programs to effectively treat children with cancer.
"Our mission is to identify the needs of children with cancer and their families from the time of diagnosis throughout treatment and beyond, through support, clinical programs, and research."
Once a child is diagnosed with cancer, it's a major financial strain on the family. This society provides emergency funds which improves the quality of life for the children and their families. All the programs are free to the families and are supported through fundraising.
