Help kids fly to W.A. for Rock'n'Roll Nationals 24

Hi, my name is Samantha Willis. I'm a volunteer for Team Richards, trying to raise money for the kids in the Team Richards kids group, to be able to fly as many over to Western Australia to compete in the 2024 Rock'n'Roll National Competition, in March.

We are a small group of approximately 30 children, who have a variety of skills, passions and needs. However, dance gives all children an even playing field to embrace their own creativity and grow their self-confidence.

Our highly skilled coaches train the students every week for FREE, out of love and ask for nothing in return, just to spread the love of Rock'n'Roll dancing. Our non-for-profit group is too small for grants and too big for self-funding, so we are turning to the public. Can you help us fly our kids to Western Australia, so we can keep the energy, passion and commitment to the Rock'n'Roll dance alive?

We currently hold titles for the National Championships, which were held in Victoria last year, so we are eager to keep the winners coming from the Victorian team. Our families spread from Cranbourne, to Cockatoo, to Ferntree Gully, but together we represent the youth that want to keep Rock'n'Roll alive and growing in Australia.

All funds will be used solely on the children's airline ticket and will be purchased before March 2024. One child will cost us at least $800 a plane ticket. Can you help by donating $100, $20 or $50 towards the kids?

Participation in national competitions offers a chance for these young athletes to test their skills on a larger stage, challenge themselves, and set new goals. It can be a transformative experience that encourages discipline, dedication, and a strong work ethic, skills that are valuable not only in dance but in life as well. These children are the future and face of Rock’n’Roll. By allowing them to compete in another state you help the sport of Rock’n’Roll continue into another generation.
