Kids of Gaza

Like everyone, we are in complete disbelief of the disregard of human life and the destruction happening in Gaza.

While we feel helpless and have absolutely no idea what to do, we are going to do an Ironbabe (Ironman 70.3 - a long-distance triathlon) on November 12th, 2023 and are raising money for the Children of Gaza. We know this is coming from an incredibly privileged place, one in which we have the freedom to run, ride and swim these ridiculous kilometres.

 

Sasha had the opportunity to visit Palestine and Israel with our Aunty Cis in 2014. They were invited to the Westbank for a Palestinian wedding; however, Israeli Government had bombed two schools in Gaza and a hospital. They still went on the journey, choosing to celebrate love, rather than to live in fear. We met many incredibly beautiful Palestinian and Israeli people on the trip and throughout our lives, and our hearts are breaking for what is happening.

This is not a fight between humanity, it is a fight for all of our children. We collectively have to do better, no child should need to witness the horrors of what is unfolding.
