Kids in Cambodia: A Brighter Future
Donation protected
Imagine a small village in Cambodia, where children eagerly gather in an open space, waiting for their lessons to begin. They don’t have classrooms like we do, but they have the same excitement for learning. Hi I'm Amalia, and this is where I come in.
Through my school’s program, the money I am raising will go to building new schools, giving these kids a place to learn, grow, and dream. Each student is to raise $550, to support this worthy cause. For two weeks, I’ll be part of this incredible journey, with many other students, teaching English, playing soccer with the children, and learning about their culture firsthand through a homestay. It won’t just be life changing for them, it’ll be life changing for me too. The Cambodia Service Project has a proud history of over 20 years, providing cultural and service-learning opportunities. The tour provides students, like myself, with a unique opportunity to develop as a “young person of character". I will be challenged to develop courage as I work in new environments, to innovate, and collaborate as I prepare to teach English to young Cambodians and participate in an array of service projects. I will learn to be compassionate and ethical, as I come to understand the feelings and perspective of others and be required to reflect on my experiences throughout my journey.
I'm reaching out to you, my family and friends, to help me raise $550 dollars by the 31st of March. By donating, you’re not just supporting my trip, you’re helping build a future for kids who deserve the chance to learn. Thank you for being part of something bigger!
